Yes, we do yoga here. And yes, you’ve come to the right place.
Unless you’ve been to Atlanta Yoga, it’s hard to know what to expect the first time you walk through our studio doors. You might poke your head in, look around and see clumps of clothing piled on the floor. You might ask yourself, Am I at the right place? Do I take my shoes off? Who’s running this operation?
Our studio is an open loft space. There’s no lobby or waiting room; you simply walk in and there you are. The straightforwardness of it all can be perplexing. If you’re new to the studio, follow this short tour so that you will know for certain that you’ve come to the right place.

If you’re circling the blocks between 10th & 8th and can’t locate the studio, look for this sign on 9th street and find a parking place anywhere on the curb. Because we share the neighborhood with several other businesses (Radical Axis is next door), free parking spots can be hard to come by.

We post notes on the studio doors to let you know if a class is inside. If this is the case, please wait till someone walks out before you walk in. If there’s no note them come on in.

On the inside, the doors are covered with blankets. They are cumbersome and make for a precarious entrance, but they keep the studio warm and toasty.

Claw your way through the wool blankets and you are in. Take off your shoes and leave your belongings anywhere on the blue carpet along the brick wall. Or, help yourself to our changing rooms located towards the rear of the studio. Lay your mat on the wood floor and your instructor will let you know which direction to face.

Anyone can practice yoga. Everyone is welcome to do it here. This poster hangs on our wall as a reminder of all of the yoga postures. It’s a fantastic resource but some of the pictures can be intimidating. A note to new students: There will be no standing on heads in basics classes.

Namaste.
